Whether you’re looking for a transfer from or to the airport, or one of our other many locations worldwide, for leisure or business purposes: at TaxiTender you can book your taxi transfer in just three easy steps. But what happens after you’ve booked? And what is the process in case of cancellation, changes or delay? We’ve listed the most important scenarios for you as a (business) traveler.

First of all, what happens after you’ve booked your transfer? We immediately start looking for the best available driver to carry out your ride. This doesn’t take too long, thanks to our vast provider network and our ride tender system. When we’ve found the right driver, you receive a voucher including the name and telephone number of your private driver. The driver receives your client information in turn, so he can write the right name on his sign while waiting for you at the airport. You’re now ready to go! And don’t worry about payment. Since you’ve paid in advance, we will take care of the completion with the driver.

Managing your reservation

Did you book a taxi transfer via our website but do you need to adjust your reservation, for example the day, time, pickup point or destination? You can easily sign up to manage your booking. By logging on to your profile you can see and adjust your reservations under the ‘Bookings’ tab. Please note that you’ll always receive a confirmation of your changes by e-mail and, if needed, a new voucher. Are you changing your reservation on the same day as your ride? Always contact your driver directly via the telephone number on your voucher.

Good to know: the first time you book your transfer with us, you’ll automatically receive an account. All you have to do is request a password with the e-mail address you used for your booking. Every new trip will be added to your account and you’ll receive a confirmation and a receipt. Do you need to declare your rides? You can compose a declaration in our portal, including the right address. If you and/or your colleagues book a lot of trips, it’s might be a good idea to create a company account, to manage all bookings in a single dashboard. You’ll also be eligible for a discount.

Cancelling your reservation

Have you booked a transfer but are you unable to make it? You can cancel your reservation via the ‘Bookings’ tab in your profile or by calling our booking support. If you cancel the ride before pickup has passed, we will refund 100 percent of your amount. Please note that cancellation via e-mail is not sufficient in case of last minute cancellation. We cannot guarantee that your cancellation will be processed in time.

Flight delayed?

We’ve all been there: troubles with a delayed flight. Don’t worry, if you’ve entered your flight number during the booking process, your driver will know when your flight is delayed thanks to our flight monitoring service. He will still do his best to be waiting for you once you do arrive. Are you delayed due to lost luggage or other circumstances that have nothing to do with your flight? Contact your driver directly via the telephone number at the top of your voucher. Together, you can discuss if the driver can wait for you or if you need to cancel your ride. Our transfers include a free waiting time of 30 minutes – or more if you book business class – so note that there is no need to rush.

Additional requests

We can imagine you have additional requests regarding your ride, for example a child seat or wheelchair space. No worries! You can pass your request (in English) on to your driver by using the ‘notes to driver’ section in the third step of your booking process. Please note that the law regarding child seats varies from country to country. If unsure, we recommend bringing your own child seat. When it comes to wheelchairs, one foldable wheelchair counts as one piece of luggage, as long as the other luggage isn’t too big. Do you need wheelchair space? We recommend you contact our booking support.

Making payments

One of the biggest advantages of a pre-booked transfer is clear: you don’t need to worry about your payment on location. When booking your transfer you can pay by iDEAL, American Express, MasterCard and Visa credit cards, and PayPal. To enjoy your ride, you only need to bring the document or digital voucher you received after booking. On your profile page, you can also view and manage your invoices. It’s that easy!
